"From our first inquiry about the Bernadoodle breed, Emmanuel with Briarwood Puppies was informative and compassionate about the micro and mini size pups. When we made our commitment he graciously walked us through the entire process never minding our questions. We met our puppy 3 weeks ago and picked him up on Sunday. We are ecstatic to have “Courage” as part of our family. Thoroughness and an abundance of patience are an understatement and we highly recommend anyone looking for a Bernedoodle or Sheepadoodle."

Facts About the Miniature Sheepadoodle
If you're looking for a fun-loving, energetic and affectionate dog, then an F1 Mini might be the perfect pet for you! The Miniature Sheepadoodle is a cross between the Mini Poodle and the Old English Sheepdog, and as such, inherit the best traits from both breeds. They are a low to non-shedding breed and are hypoallergenic. They make great family pets and do well with children of all ages.
So, what is an F1 Mini Sheepadoodle? These dogs are a first-generation cross between a Miniature Poodle and an Old English Sheepdog. They are bred in order to create a hypoallergenic dog with the intelligence of a Poodle and the playful personality of an Old English Sheepdog.
|
Mini Sheepadoodles are bred by first breeding a Miniature Poodle with an Old English Sheepdog. This produces a litter of F1 Mini Sheepadoodles. From there, breeders can choose to breed two F1 Mini Sheepadoodles together (which will produce F2 Mini Sheepadoodles), or they can breed an F1 Mini Sheepadoodle with a Standard Poodle (which will produce F1B Mini Sheepadoodles).
More about the Differences Between F1, F2, and F1B
F1 puppies will have a wavy or curly coat that will require regular grooming. F2 and F1B puppies will have a coat that is more similar to the Poodle, which will be less shed and will require less grooming. All three types of Mini Sheepadoodles will inherit the intelligence of the Poodle and the playful personality of the Old English Sheepdog.
Also, F1 puppies will be somewhere in the middle when it comes to size, while F2 and F1B Mini Sheepadoodles will be on the smaller side.
|
More About Appearance
The appearance of a Miniature Sheepadoodle can vary depending on which parent breed they take after more. They can have the coat of the Poodle, which is curly and non-shedding, or they can have the coat of the Sheepdog, which is wavy and low-shedding.
Temperament
These puppies are intelligent, loyal, and affectionate dogs. They are active and need daily exercise. They do well in apartments as long as they get plenty of walks and playtime.
Personality
As for personality, the best description is "a big dog in a small package". They have all the energy and playfulness of a larger dog, but come in a smaller size.

This breed can vary in size depending on which parent breed they take after more. If they take after the Poodle parent, they will be on the smaller end of the spectrum. If they take after the Sheepdog parent, they will be on the larger end.
A full grown Mini Sheepadoodle typically have a lifespan of 12-15 years. And, as with all dogs, they will need daily exercise and a healthy diet to help them live a long and happy life. Sheepadoodle Mini Reviews from Customers
We wanted to give you an update on a Sheepadoodle puppy we got from you in July. It took a day or so to pick the right name for her, but we eventually named Sunny Wembley after Wembley Stadium in England. She is a 35 pound ball of fluff. She loves hiking, going for walks, the beach, kayaking, and playing with her friends. She likes going to high school soccer games and chasing soccer balls in the yard. She’s a hit at the high school and is known by name. She enjoys the outdoors when it’s not too hot, and hanging out on the back porch. She loves all the attention she gets from people, some even stop their cars to take pictures of her! She loves people and other dogs, and is super friendly. She passed puppy junior high and is going to be taking a basic obedience class this spring. Everyone thinks she looks like a panda bear! She hasn’t turned grey yet, but we are waiting to see what will happen. Her fur is still really soft and she’s almost 9 months old. She’s a sweet dog and we love her lots. We found that one of her littermates, Star, lives nearby, but we haven’t been able to get them together. A lot of people ask what breed she is and where we got her, and we always give them your name and location and recommend you. Attached are two photos. One of her in the recent blizzard we had and one of her with her friend Cassie at the beach over the summer.

Just wanted to say thanks for our beautiful pup! We named her Nyla and the kids absolutely love her. She's such a good girl, even though she would rather chew my shoes than chew her toys. She is learning to sit, stay and come. She is also working on ringing the bell to go potty, today she did it three times and only had one accident in the house. I took her to the vet last Monday, no one had ever seen a Merle sheepadoodle; they thought she was beautiful!
